Year 1 Leader
Teaching was something I always wanted to do after having such a positive school experience of my own while growing up in a small town in Lincolnshire, England. Before moving to Chicago I taught in both Key Stages 1 and 2 in a highly successful primary school in the outskirts of Liverpool following my graduation from University.

Year 1 Teacher
I believe that creativity and challenge help students get better every day. Throughout my career I have tried to make my lessons fun, engaging, and thought provoking. I find this to be the best way to ensure children's progress. Through support and challenge, children can learn and improve rapidly in a safe environment.
I grew up in a coastal town called Barry in South Wales. I relocated to England to study at the University of Worcester where I earned a bachelor's degree (honors) in Primary Initial Teacher Education with QTS. I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to teach internationally. It is fantastic to inspire new students, build a relationship with their parents/guardians, and experience life in a new country. Before joining BISC-LP this year, I taught in Qatar and Shanghai.
After gaining my first degree in English Literature and American studies in York, I moved back to my hometown of London to complete my teaching degree. I then continued to teach in a school in East London for two years in Nursery and Reception. I then swapped London for the hot desert of Dubai, where I taught Nursery for two years.
Learning Assistant for Ms. Cox
I am a true Chicagoan , born and raised in the heart of the city. I have a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Children and Adolescents. I love learning new things, reading books, game nights with my family and friends, and traveling. Some of my goals/plans for the next few years are to become a 1st grade teacher and to own my own mentoring/education center.
