I joined the school in August 2018. Apart from getting to know Chicago, the children and my new colleagues at BISC-LP, I am looking forward to my first baseball game! I studied a BSC (Hons) in Behavioural Science at the University of Dundee, where I developed a passion for child development.  After completing the course, I worked as a learning representative for the communicators workers union in BT. Through this role, we worked in line with a local college to develop a learning centre and offer the employees evening course to develop their lifelong learning skills. This led me to develop my passion for teaching and I decided to complete my PGDE in Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Over the last 7 years, I have taught in a large International school in Vietnam and Bangkok. Over the last three years I have been a Year 2 teacher at our Nord Anglia School in Guangzhou, China.

I am from Manchester, a place I am very proud to be from. We are a city known for our football (soccer), music and strangely enough bees, and I have a real passion for all three. I am thrilled to move to Chicago and return to the states where my parents taught when I was younger. After teaching for several years in the UK, I moved to Hong Kong for 5 years. I was lucky enough to live there with my two brothers, one of which is a pilot, and the other a secondary teacher. For the last year, I have been working at a Nord Anglia school in Prague and I am excited to continue teaching at BISC Lincoln Park.

I was born in Cheshire, a county in the North West of England, and grew up in Manchester with my parents, younger brother and our dog, Milo! After spending 5 years living in Liverpool at the beginning of my career, I moved to Chicago in August 2012. I love everything about this city - from the culture and architecture to the food and Summer festivals!

I originate from the South East of England and spent the early part of my career working in the post production industry in North London. After some years I opted to work in a local special needs school close to home which ignited my interest in teaching. From there I went on to complete my teaching qualifications, gaining experience in various roles in Primary schools in Essex. My past four years have been spent at the Nord Anglia British International School in Shanghai, China.

I was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Illinois. Upon graduating high school, I moved to Chicago to attend Loyola University Chicago where I graduated with a degree in Sociology. I have conducted research for the Ounce of Prevention program which provides education to low-income families. My research inspired me to become involved with education first at a preschool and then here at BISC-LP. I love living in Chicago because you get to meet all kinds of people with different backgrounds and stories. Chicago has so many diverse neighborhoods, so far I have lived in six different ones including Hyde Park and Rogers Park. My favorite place to visit is the Art Institute of Chicago, I never tire of that museum!
