I am from a small coastal town, called Llanelli, in South Wales. I studied Primary Education with QTS at the University of South Wales-Newport, and I was lucky enough to undertake an international placement at BISC-LP during my second year of teacher training. I fell in love with the school and its ethos, knowing that one day I would return. I am now entering my sixth year of teaching and my second at BISC-LP.
I am passionate about travel and food, so living in Chicago has given my husband and I a great chance to explore amazing places to eat wherever we go! On a healthier note, I also enjoy running along the lakefront and kayaking.
I am very thankful to have been afforded the opportunity to work at BISC-LP; it continues to be a wonderful experience. I firmly believe that a person's potential lies in their mindset. Many a time, I have seen students excel beyond their own expectations as a result of a resilient and optimistic approach; if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. I aim to inspire my class by modelling this philosophy and empowering them to be ambitious.
