I am from a small coastal town, called Llanelli, in South Wales. I studied Primary Education with QTS at The University of South Wales- Newport, and was lucky enough to undertake an international placement at BISC-LP during my second year of teacher training. I fell in love with the school and its ethos, knowing that one day I would return! Upon graduating, I was lucky enough to gain my first teaching post in a nearby town, and have been teaching for four years. I am passionate about travel and food! My husband and I spend quite a bit of time (and money!) indulging in different restaurants and diners, and am very eager to take many food-driven tours around The States! On a slightly healthier note, I enjoy kayaking and running, and will be sure to take advantage of the Lakefront area.
I am very thankful to be afforded this opportunity to work at BISC-LP; I'm sure it will be a wonderful experience. I firmly believe that a person's potential lies in their mindset. Many a time, I have seen students excel beyond their own expectations, due to a resilient and optimistic approach when faced with challenge; if it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. We all have the capability to achieve our goals and dreams, but we must be driven enough to do so. I hope to inspire my class by modelling this philosophy and empowering them to be ambitious!
