In Year 2 the children have been learning to weave on a loom. They learned to thread a needle and how to set up a loom.

This week, Year 3 have been working on the Charanga Music website in class time. They have loved performing on their recorders!

This week in science Year 3 have been designing their own fair test as part of their unit on the properties of materials. They have ensured that their test is fair by figuring out how to control the different variables. Their investigation was inspired by their science teacher very clumsily spilling coffee on the floor. They came up with the question “Which materials would be the best at absorbing a coffee spill?”

Meanwhile in Hubble Bubble science club, the Year 1 students have been investigating chemiluminescence and were very excited to see what happened when two chemicals were added together in a beaker. They predicted what would happen and then compared their hypothesis to their observation.

Year 1 children are peer assessing their knowledge of French weather phrases - they took turns reading French weather words and sang a song about the weather! They have also been playing card games to practice talking about body parts that hurt!

Going for Gold! In PE the students in Years 3-6 have been receiving their BSC Athletic Awards! After completing a pentathlon of athletic activities the students’ points were added up to determine which award they received.

In Dance this week during Nursery lessons we read the story ‘You Are a Lion!’ As we read the book we tried out the different animal yoga poses in the book and incorporated them into our dancing games.

Year 3 student Hamilton shares one of his favorite funny books with his classmates during their weekly library visit.
