I work as an active teacher in Chicago, and I appreciate the reciprocal relationship between my dual role as performer and pedagogue. In addition to my private studio, I serve as adjunct clarinet instructor at Harold Washington College and private clarinet instructor for Maine West High School.
My musical activities are best characterized by diversity. I am the second clarinetist with Orchestra Iowa with which I perform masterworks, ballet, opera and pops concerts. I am a member of the contemporary ensemble Fonema Consort, touring most recently in Mexico, New York, and Minneapolis, and working with composers including Julio Estrada and James Dillon. I also enjoy work as a woodwind doubler in Chicago, including the world premiere of "October Sky" and productions of "Evita" and "Man of La Mancha" at Marriott Theater.
I completed a master's degree in Music Performance at Northwestern University where I studied with Steve Cohen and J. Lawrie Bloom.
