Community is at the heart of what we do here at British International School of Chicago, South Loop; the environment is unique and very caring. The students are very keen to learn and respectful, and have access to fantastic resources and facilities that create an exceptional learning environment.

After graduating from university I worked for various companies for a few years, which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, I decided to follow in the footsteps of my mother to teach. After completing my teacher training I started teaching in a Catholic comprehensive school in west London in 2009. After two years there, I moved to another school in the same area as Assistant Curriculum Leader of Science. I then moved to Asia to experience new challenges and cultures, as I thoroughly enjoy traveling. I was working at St. Andrews International School, part of the Nord Anglia Education family, in Bangkok for three years and was also Head of Year during my time there.

I am an enthusiastic sports fan. In the UK, I regularly played football for a local team and after moving to Bangkok, I joined another local team in an expats league. I also take part in running and cycling in my free time. One of the benefits of working internationally is that I get to travel often and I use every opportunity to visit a new country. I also have an interest in world history, so that dictates what part of the world I visit next.
