I graduated with degrees in Geography and Spanish from University of Exeter. Later, I specialized in Modern Foreign Languages for my Post Graduate Degree of Education at University of Bristol. Since then, I have taught Spanish, Geography and French across all year groups at one of the last remaining state boarding schools in the UK. Alongside my role as a teacher, I worked as a Teaching Boarding Tutor. This pastoral role allowed me to build greater rapport with students, supporting them in their development outside of the classroom.
One of my greatest passions is traveling. Meeting new people, seeking cultural and linguistic enrichment, and discovering breathtaking natural landscapes are the three principal reasons why I love to travel. Of all the many places that I have been fortunate enough to visit, Central and South America have been my favorite places. Backpacking through the continent for six months embedded my fascination and love for Hispanic culture and language, and the food was extraordinary too!
When I am not running away to distant lands during the holidays, I am just running. I have run a marathon in Paris, a half-marathon in Spain, and a handful of obstacle-based runs throughout the UK. The next challenge is a triathlon, and I have every intention of participating in one in Chicago sometime soon.
