After receiving my master’s degree in Philosophy and International Relations from the University of St Andrews I returned to my home in Manchester to begin my teaching career where I have taught English for the past four years. It was a love of literature that drew me to the study of philosophy and this is something I have been very keen to promote at my current school where I am Assistant Faculty Leader of English. I hope to instill this same passion in the students at BISC, South Loop, both in the study of English and the Theory of Knowledge.
Outside of school, sport has always played a big part in my life. I have played football and rugby union throughout my school and university careers and I was lucky enough to hone my golf game on the Old Course in St Andrews. I am also an avid Manchester United fan, and I try to get to as many games as I can. While moving to Chicago will certainly make this more difficult, I am looking forward to seeing all the sport teams that Chicago has to offer.
