House System

The House system is a traditional feature of British schools. It provides a whole-school approach to nurturing self-motivation, team building and friendly competition, all of which contribute to our unmatched school community spirit.

  • BISC South Loop Students

When your child joins our school, they’re placed into one of four Houses:

  • Great Wall
  • Stonehenge
  • Pyramids
  • Rushmore

Houses are led by a Head of House, House Captain and Vice Captain, elected annually by their peers.

Throughout the school year, students strive to earn points for their individual Houses through community service, spirit days, inter-House competitions and for academic and pastoral achievements. We tally House points at the end of the school year in pursuit of the coveted House of the Year Award.
