Kitchen Math with Grade 5
The Grade 5 students have been focused on combining the art of cooking and math to their learning experience. Recently, the students focused on instructional planning by creating recipes for their favorite meals. Students created recipes for various dishes that include breads, cakes, sushi as well as other popular dishes. To culminate their instructional planning math unit, students took their cooking talents to the school kitchen and prepared pancakes and spring rolls. Grade 5 had to follow the recipe and figure out how many they could make to feed their hungry class of 20 students. Here are some photos of the hard work and delicious eats of Grade 5! Well done!!
