CAS News

On the 16th September the grade 11 students will be spending 4 days in Kangding and Tagong as part of their CAS experience for the IBDP.  During the trip they will be visiting an Orphanage in Tagong which is the home to a number of boys aged 11 to 18 years. The Leman students would like to donate to the orphans warm clothes such as hats, gloves, scarves, hoodies and will also buy food for the orphanage, from Kangding market, to get them through the winter.  The grade 11 CAS students are now going by coach to the orphanage and we can now take larger items like blankets, coats. As part of the CAS experience the Leman students will organise activities such as sport and art for the children and will spend time interacting with them.  It is important that our CAS students are not only involved in the organisation of this trip but that they are also able to provide a service for children less fortunate than themselves.

The students would like to ask parents for any support they are able to give the orphans by requesting baked goods to be sold at the bake sale on Monday 3rd September at 10am or donations of small warm items.  Cake donations can be sent with your child on Monday morning and a CAS student will collect it.

We hope the cake sale is a big success.
