Parent Association News

The new BSN Parents Association has held meetings over the past weeks to establish a Steering Committee and elect Representatives for each year group.

These representatives will be a channel for communication with the school on any items of general concern, and these items will then be raised in the regular PA meetings with the school management.  The information of the Parent Rep for each Year has been sent out via e-mail with WeChat details for the Year groups.

The following are the PA steering committee members:

Jitka Kolesárová- Chair

Eilís Carey- Co-Chair

Connie Sun-Treasurer

Michelle Chiu- Secretary

Brisa Z. Nyblom- Communication & PR

Daisy Wang-Purchasing

Britney Park- EYFS & Primary coordinator

Anabel Tores- Senior School Coordinator

Jin Young Kang- Sports & ASA

The Parents Association is currently working on providing stalls for UN Day, which promises to be a great, fun event for children.  We are looking for volunteers to help on the day (25th October), so if you are willing to help by representing your country or region, please scan the WeChat code below.  Also remember that children can wear the costume of their home country (or another country of their choice) on that day, which makes for a colourful and fun time - the more creative the better!

UN day

Finally, a second hand Uniform Sale was held in school on Friday September 20th, raising the respectable sum of 4530RMB, which will be spent on souvenirs for the children for UN Day.  A big thanks to the organisers and to those who donated old uniforms.  This is a great way to do our bit for the environment, and to save money at the same time.  A donation box for uniforms is located near the reception desk, so if you have old uniforms, clean and in good condition, please do drop them there for the next uniform sale.
