Red Market Day in Early Years EYFS celebrated the arrival of the Year of the Tiger with the traditional “Red Market”.

The youngest children in the school  celebrated the arrival of the Year of the Tiger with a traditional “Red Market”. The Red Market gave students the opportunity to learn about cultural traditions.

Each child received a red envelope with “Tiger Tokens” and a red shopping bag. After an opening ceremony, we enjoyed a range of activities, including some traditional crafts and traditional games, and visited the cafeteria which had been turned into a wonderful food court.

Our Bank was a huge hit, as this is where children went to get more Tiger Tokens to spend; however, to earn the Tiger Tokens, children had to finish some 'difficult' tasks assigned by the Banker, such as singing a song, counting to 50 or so much more.

This event was only possible with the support of our families. Many thanks to staff, parents and grandparents for your support. We wish you all a grrrreat Year of the Tiger!
