Science teacher

Ruth Hamman
BSc Medicine and Surgery,
MSc Public Health

I’m West African - born and raised in Nigeria before following my passion to travel overseas.

After my initial degree in Nigeria, where I was born and raised, I travelled to the UK where I obtained my master’s degree in Public Health in Glasgow, Scotland. I then worked in various capacities in health development and research.

In 2019, I moved to China as a Science Teacher and have been teaching science across various levels. I have thoroughly enjoyed finding new, and interesting ways of teaching and opening the minds of students to the amazing world of science.

I have been lucky to have the opportunity to travel widely across Europe, Africa, and Asia both for work and pleasure. I love travelling, learning about other cultures, and trying new foods. My other interests include musical theatre, singing, cooking, and cycling.
