Katie Dickson

Katherine Dickson - Country Day School

Fifth Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Katie Dickson and I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. I graduated from Boston College in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and again in 2016 with a Master’s Degree in Moderate Special Needs. During my graduate year at Boston College, I interned at a school in the Newton Public School’s System and had the opportunity to work in a co-taught classroom. There, I got the chance to work with a variety of learners and implement different ways to differentiate curriculum in the classroom.

I have been working at the Country Day School since graduating from Boston College. This will be the third year at the school working as a 5th-grade teacher. I have really enjoyed working at CDS and getting the chance to grow as a professional. As an educator, I hope to instill a growth mindset in my students and help them achieve anything they put their minds too.

In my free time, I love to watch all American sports, especially football. I am an avid Boston sports fan as well as an Arsenal fan. In the summers, I go to my favorite place in the world, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and get the chance to sail with different members of my family.
