I am excited to join the CDS family! This is my first year at Country Day School, but my tenth year as an educator. I've had the opportunity to teach learners of all ages, from prekindergarten to adult. In the Washington, DC area, I worked as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, teacher mentor, adjunct professor, and educational consultant. I studied Studio Art and Art Education at University of Maryland before completing the Inspired Teacher Certification Fellowship and earning my M.A.T. from Trinity Washington University. I love learning through inquiry and investigation.
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Ty, is a DJ and music educator, and our two-year-old son, Luka loves drums and dinosaurs. At home, we play music, dance bachata, and cook together. I also enjoy hiking, making art, reading, and traveling.
