When I was five years old I dreamed of being an astronaut. I’m not, but while I can’t travel to the stars, I can certainly reach them through books. Words have been the shining light that has guided me through life. They guided me through the lows and highs of adolescence, the growing pains of college, and ushered me into my current job as Assistant Librarian for Middle and High School.
I studied Philology for a year at the University of Costa Rica before finding my calling; this December, I will be receiving my degree in English Education. I believe every book is a universe in and of itself, and with them, every child can be an astronaut too.
