My passion in life has always been learning, so what better way than to become a teacher! I hail from the most beautiful state in the U.S.- Colorado. It was here where I found my passion for learning and teaching others after being a high school leader at the Outdoor Lab Educational School in Jefferson County. I continue to believe in the importance of outdoor education as it is where curiosity stems.
I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Social Studies Teaching from Colorado State University. Upon graduation I became a substitute teacher in Jefferson County Schools until I was offered my first teaching position at Denver Language School. At Denver Language School I taught 3rd-5th grade English Language Arts/Social Studies to Spanish and Mandarin immersion students from 2013-2015. I received my online certification in Literacy.I went on to work as an 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher at Creighton Middle School for three years.
At Country Day School, I teach 7th/8th Social Studies and I am one of the advisors for Junior Model UN!
Other than teaching I enjoy reading a book, swimming, hiking, board games, and traveling. I am really enjoying Costa Rica and can’t wait to explore more of what this country has to offer!
