Madinat Khalifa Headlines | Week of 2 April 2017
Madinat Khalifa Headlines | Week of 2 April 2017 Headlines from our Madinat Khalifa Primary School.

Dear Parents,

This week was a great showcase of our students’ artistic talents. Firstly, on Monday our Primary Choir performed fantastically well in the Secondary Variety Show with their renditions of ‘Sing’ and 'Earth Song'.

Wednesday brought the premiere of our Years 4 - 6 Production ‘What a Knight!’. It was a magical tale set in the land of Camelot and how the evil Black Knight plotted to kidnap the princesses and steal the throne from King Arthur. Luckily, Watt Cobblers, Princess Alice and Dusty Dragon were there to save the day! Students rehearsed their lines and dance moves to put on a fantastic performance. We have some very talented performers who sang and danced beautifully and really entered the spirit of the characters. The students brought the script to life with committed performances, humour (so many puns!) and smiles on their faces!

I would like to thank all the Madinat KhalifaTeam for helping behind the scenes and supporting the performance. Special thanks to our Learning Assistants for creating the props and backdrop. Mr Martin and our Year 13 students for their creative background drawings. Miss Belcik for programming our lights Mr Ramirez for technical support. And, of course, Miss Lovett and Mrs Cardiff for their wonderful direction along with Mr Basulto, who put so much into the musical elements of the performance.

Thank you also to our parents who supported the teachers, assisted with makeup and costumes and who brought their children to and from rehearsals.

Please note that there are no Extra Curricular Activities running next week (9 April - 13 April) and to collect your children at 1:30pm each day.

Have a wonderful weekend.
