Year 5 Desert Expedition
Last week saw our Year 5 students from all three campuses take part in an overnight desert expedition. The students (and teachers!) returned to school happy but rather tired. Educational visits play a crucial part in our students’ academic and personal development. As well as learning about the desert habitat, the students also further developed their relationships with their classmates through collaborative challenges and increased their independence by taking responsibility for their time and belongings.
A huge thank you to our Mr McArtney, Mrs Cardiff and Mrs Pitchford for this very successful and meaningful experience for our students.
Year 2 Assembly
Our Year 2 students led a fantastic assembly showcasing their learning from the ‘Live and Let Live’ and ‘The Magic Toymaker’ IPC topics. The wide range and depth of learning the students shared really was impressive and everyone left the assembly with a greater understanding of animals, habitats and the history of toys. Many thanks to Mr McGlade, Mrs Wheatley, Mrs Tro and Mrs Ahmed, as well as our Year 2 parents for their support with practising lines, costumes and props.
Students from MK Primary, along with Rayaan and Gharaffa, represented Compass International School at British International Schools of Qatar Games. The students performed admirably over the weekend and we finished a very commendable 7th place overall. Congratulations to these students for representing the school with such pride and respect.
World Maths Day
To celebrate World Maths Day on Thursday, students will be completing a wide range of mathematical challenges and earning points for their respective houses. Keep your eyes peel on class dojo as I am sure some of these challenges will be shared for our parents and teachers to also try and solve!
Have a lovely week.
