Madinat Khalifa Primary Headlines | Monday, 9 March 2020 Weekly news from Madinat Khalifa Primary Campus by Mr Jimmy Frawley, Head of Madinat Khalifa Primary.

Dear All,

Congratulations to our Year 5 Girls team that secured 3rd place in last week’s QPPSSA basketball competition.

The students showed great determination, resilience and teamwork against strong opposition. A credit to the school in both their achievements and exemplary conduct.

This weekend sees the British International Schools in Qatar (BISQ) Games, this great competition involves many schools in Qatar. The team representing Compass will comprise of students from all four campuses and those students from Madinat Khalifa were presented with their BISQ kits during Sunday’s assembly. We wish these students good luck and look at our social media pages for regular updates throughout the competition.

Year 3 Assembly

On Thursday, our Year 3 students shared their International Primary Curriculum learning about Rainforests and sustainability through an exciting journey around the world. Following a group of penguins concerned about the melting ice, students met endangered animals from different climates and the impact humans have on these habitats. As well as humming and singing the catchy songs, students and staff left with a renewed focus on sustainability and the choices we can all make to help the environment.

Upcoming Primary Events

We have several great showcase events between now and the Spring break including Poetry Evening, Year 4 to 6 Production and Maths Week. Please see our calendar of events for dates and we hope to see many parents at each of these wonderful events.

Have a great week,

Jimmy Frawley,

Head of Primary, Madinat Khalifa
