I am an Early Years specialist and passionate about early childhood development. I believe it is crucial to build solid foundations in those early years to enable children to grow and flourish in later years. I love the idea that children can learn through play and start to discover who they are and what the world around them is all about.
I believe the class should be a homely, creative, vibrant, and enlightening setting, where learning is taking place every single moment of the day. Therefore, I always allow new opportunities for children to learn whether it is me doing the teaching, the children learning by themselves or teaching each other something new. I strive to develop passionate learners, self-confident, happy, socially aware, and independent children.
I began my teaching career by training to become a special needs learning assistant. I then went on to completing my PGCE and Masters in East London where I specialised in Early Years and Special Educational Needs.
During my career I have mainly worked in Early Years. However, during my time in the UAE, I have also worked in KS1 and KS2. My previous roles included being the EYFS leader at an international school in Dubai, RE Co-ordinator and EYFS lead training mentor. I have been observed by KHDA, Ofsted, the Local Education Authorities and Head Teachers, always achieving outstanding levels of teaching.
During my free time I love cooking and creating my own new dishes with a Bengali or Moroccan twist. However, my favourite thing in the whole wide world, is to spend time doing lots of messy play and arts and crafts with my daughter. My family and I love to travel around the world, so in the school holidays you can find us at the airport embarking on our next journey together.
