My philosophy is very much based on a holistic approach. It is essential to foster individual excellence and provide varied learning experiences so as to cater for individual differences. Through my teaching, I deliver lessons which allow students to be active and critical inquirers who will appreciate, internalize and take action to become responsible global citizens in their path to lifelong learning. To this end, I use a variety of techniques and strategies in my teaching and incorporate contemporary issues based on current events in my lessons. Using IT has enhanced this dramatically.
As educators, we are leaders of the next generation and it is our responsibility to achieve this to the best of our ability. As Head of Islamic Education, I have guided its effective functioning with an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork. My role as the Islamic A leader and Arabic B teacher responsible for organising the cultural assemblies and events relevant, MYP programme, with all the workshops and IB learning profile has added to my existing skills of training and motivating students.
I am an international educator who is student centered, a collaborative worker, a social member of staff and community-minded from a local to an international perspective.
Finally I am a mother of three children, fashion designer and passionate about cooking.
