I have joined the school since its inception in August 2014 and have witnessed it grow over the past two years. I am proud to be part of the Nord Anglia community, both as a member of staff as well as a parent.
I hold a Bachelor Degree in Business Management from the European Business School, London, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Nottingham. I also hold a Level 5 qualification in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia/Specific Learning Difficulties.
I started to develop an interest in teaching during my last year of University, when I was given the opportunity to take on a number of projects with the Children in Need Charity based in London, an extraordinary and rewarding experience which made me appreciate the impact that teachers make on the lives of young people, by cultivating young minds and teaching children skills and knowledge to be used by them for the rest of their lives.
I am very passionate about teaching and believe that every child is intelligent and has the potential to excel in learning. A good teacher is one who can identify the abilities of students, and steer them towards achieving their maximum potential. I am strongly in favour of the student-centered approach where the teacher stimulates students’ learning abilities, by engaging them in constructive and intellectually challenging discussions, developing students’ critical thinking abilities, conducting role play and simulation exercises, and encouraging collaboration and group work.
