I have extensive knowledge and expertise of the Early Years, having gained my PGDE Primary Qualification in Scotland in 2006. Newly qualified, I went on to teach in two very prestigious Scottish Independent Schools where I had invaluable teaching experience.
I am passionate about child-initiated learning and feel that children learn best when they are immersed in their own interests. I believe in caring for and nurturing the children in the Early Years so that they grow to be independent, confident and well-rounded individuals who are equipped with the life skills they need for the future. I pride myself on providing open ended, engaging and challenging learning opportunities in my classroom. Children should be free to ask questions, lead their own learning and most importantly, have fun!
I grew up on the beautiful North Coast of Co. Antrim, in Northern Ireland. I spent my childhood playing golf and enjoying walks on the beaches. Now, I love to travel to different countries to experience the golf courses from around the world. My favourite destination is South Africa, both for golf and scenery and this is where I got married in 2016. My hobbies also include horse riding, cooking and keeping fit, which I have continued to enjoy here in sunny Dubai.
