I was born in a small town called Telford in England, where I have lived the majority of my life. Having graduated from the University of Wolverhampton in England with a LLB Law Honours degree, I entered employment and quickly discovered that my passion lay in teaching. Over the next few years, I began my journey to becoming the experienced Mathematics Teacher I am today. Starting out as a Teaching Assistant to Cover Supervisor, my school recognised my passion and flare for teaching Maths in the classroom and funded my transition to a fully qualified Mathematics Teacher at Hadley Learning Community.

I am currently in my sixth year of teaching Mathematics and have broadened my experience and skills with teaching the curriculum through teaching in the UK and abroad. I have worked with children from a diverse range of backgrounds and have extensive experience across KS3, 4 and 5. I have a proven track record of supporting students to achieve their potential which can be seen through their results and attainment.

In class, I encourage students to have high aspirations; this along with my experience ensures students maximize their learning potential. I vary my teaching styles to ensure students are engaged in their learning and differentiate tasks to challenge students. I regularly incorporate real life mathematics in lesson to ensure students are aware of the importance of subject and can see how the skills learnt in class are relevant in their own lives.

As a teacher, I aim to develop the students holistically and enable students to consider how they can contribute to their community. In my previous school, I particularly enjoyed supervising in a community project where students organized various fundraising events to support low-income workers. It was rewarding for both myself and the students to see the difference we made to the community.

During breaks I love to travel and have had the opportunity to travel to several countries to have experienced incredible adventures.

I feel privileged to be joining the highly reputable NAS Dubai community. I love teaching Mathematics and I am excited to meet the students to support them on their learning journey.
