I graduated with a Master’s degree from Leicester University in 2011 where I enjoyed research successes within the field of Green chemistry. I then went on to work as a graduate for a global engineering firm prior to my PGCE course at the University of Bedfordshire.
I have spent the past 4 years working as a Science teacher at an outstanding school in the heart of Northamptonshire. During this time I experienced teaching all three sciences to Key Stage 4 and Chemistry at A-level. I have had various departmental responsibilities in addition to organising school trips and achieving consistently outstanding exam results. I have also had experience with training teachers and mentoring them during their PGCE year, which has helped develop others by sharing my outstanding practice.
My philosophy of teaching is to consistently challenge pupils whilst adapting to their individual needs. Continually having high expectations of myself as well as the students is key to the rewards that lay ahead.
My personal interests include most sports in particular playing football and watching Leicester City.
