I was born in the City of Bath in the UK but spent time living in Kent and Hong Kong whilst growing up. I studied a BSc (Honours) degree in Sports Development at the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff before returning to Bath to complete a PGCE in Physical Education.
The beginning of my teaching career was spent teaching in a large comprehensive school in Bristol, and whilst I enjoyed my time in England, I took the opportunity to broaden my horizons by teaching within an international setting. I have spent the last six years at the Nord Anglia school of BIS Abu Dhabi, teaching across a range of key stages and taking on new roles within PE and the IB, which has helped me become the practitioner I am today.
Over the last few years I have had the opportunity to lead in different areas including academic PE as well as Deputy Head of Senior School, CAS Coordinator, leading the Nord Anglia Tanzania Expeditions and teaching Theory of Knowledge.
My sporting interests lie within a variety of sports which I have coached over the years, but more specifically Gymnastics and Trampolining which stem from competing for my school and county, as well as coaching alongside the Welsh National Womens Gymnastics Coach.
