I am now in my seventeenth continuous year of teaching German Language and I have previously worked at two outstanding international schools; those being the International School of Düsseldorf in Germany and the British International School of Chicago, South Loop in the United States. I also have significant experience of teaching IB German at both Higher and Standard Level and in my last school, the British International School of Chicago, I received the highest IB results for my language students.
Overall, I enjoy the process of guiding students to be global citizens and responsible young adults who develop a genuine love of learning. I also firmly believe that teaching should not only be about the imparting of knowledge, but should also be about the building of a child’s character and their pursuit of extra-curricular enrichment.
Joining NAS Dubai offers me the opportunity of sampling a new culture and the chance to live on another continent and I can’t wait to get started! When you get to know me, you will find that I am sporty person, (who loves football, tennis and squash) and I was previously a professional referee for the Scottish Football Association and have officiated at over 600 matches. Consequently, I will enjoy passing on the Laws of the Game to anyone who will listen!
