Oyuki is excited to share her passion of reading and lifelong learning with the students of North Broward Prep and looks forward to shaping the Lower School Library and Learning Commons as spaces to support the information literacy and critical thinking skills needed for the 21st century.
Oyuki earned her Masters in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida and holds a Bachelors in Art History from Florida Atlantic University. She is an avid reader (in any format) and has always worked with books and their readers. She began her library career as a children’s librarian at the Boca Raton Public Library and her background includes program development and Friends collaborations within an active two branch library system.
Oyuki was born in Mexico and grew up in South Florida. She and her husband, Paul, have two children, Hazel (future NB Class of ‘35) and Orion (future NB Class of ‘37). Outside of campus, Oyuki enjoys dining out, reading, baking, cooking, and spending time with her family.
