“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” -Dr. Seuss
Did you know that Dr.Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham on a dare? His publisher challenged him to write a book using only 50 different words.
The Lower School is celebrating Dr. Seuss on Monday, March 2nd. Every year, the SGA hosts an assembly for the Lower School students where we celebrate reading and the birth of the beloved Dr. Seuss. Our tradition has been to combine all the Lower School Students for the assembly, but this year we are going to have two separate ceremonies to better entertain our audiences in the Cypress Center! Pre-K 3 through 1st Grade will have their ceremony from 9:00-9:30am, and 2nd Grade through 5th Grade will have their ceremony from 10:00am-10:45am. Students, we invite you to wear your Seuss-related clothing on this day! Happy Reading. ~ Melissa Fagan, Lower School Director
