Developed by Juilliard in collaboration with Nord Anglia Education, the programme seeks to inspire and equip Nord Anglia Education students with the skills, curiosity and cultural literacy to engage with performing arts throughout their lives. It will give each student a “Creative Key” to unlock their imagination and creativity, which is useful in all types of learning and in all walks of life.
The Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme will begin in September 2015 at 10 Nord Anglia Education schools around the world, including The British School of Guangzhou. It is expected to expand to educate more than 20,000 students aged 3 to 18 at Nord Anglia Education’s 35 international schools by September 2017.
“We are very excited for our students and staff to have the honour of working with such a prestigious organisation as The Juilliard School. At The British School of Guangzhou, we have always placed great emphasis on a broad and creative curriculum and believe that this opportunity sets us apart from other international schools across China. In my opinion, this will make The British School of Guangzhou the school of choice for anyone with an interest in music or the performing arts.” Mark Thomas, Principal
More information on the programme will follow shortly in our School newsletter, including details of a visit from Juiliiard taking place in April. In the meantime, please feel free to explore The Juilliard School's website.
