In Reception, the children were learning all about 3D shapes and what a fun way to learn it, by making 3D rockets. The children came up with their plan, colour scheme and designed their 3D rockets, using all the junk modelling resources. It was a competition between the Reception classes which was going to be judged by Mr. Thomas.

The children were very excited and worked very hard together to win this competition. They even named their rockets and we had names like ‘Ship-Shape Shocka Rocka’, ‘Space Pirate’, ‘Galactagonal Prism’, ‘The Jackie Fish Little Little’, ‘Shape Shifter’, ‘The 3D Voyager’ and one was even named ‘Elsa’.  Mr. Thomas said the competition was fierce and it was hard for him to choose one winner.  He finally announced the Reception Penguin’s rocket, ‘The Space Pirate’ as the winner. Well done to the Reception Penguins!
