Ms. J. Behan

J. Behan

Upper Kindergarten Class Teacher: A - Adelie Penguins & Maths Co-ordinator - Primary

Miss Behan graduated from the College of St. Mark and St. John in 2006. She began her teaching career in Plymouth and has since worked internationally in Rome and at our sister school in Washington DC. She joins us from an Independent Prep school in London and will be teaching Year 1 in Sai Kung.

Having taught in all Primary Year groups, I have a diverse and wide knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum at all ages. My previous teaching position was in a Preparatory School in London, teaching Year 4 and Year 1, respectively.

I believe that my role as a teacher is to help all children reach their full potential and to develop them intellectually, socially and emotionally so every child’s needs are acknowledged and met. My classroom is a safe environment where learning is engaging, purposeful and, of course, fun!

Outside of school, I enjoy all sports, hiking, reading and swimming. I also enjoy travelling. I find the opportunity to learn more about other people and their cultures very interesting.
