    Principal

    Mr. B. Cooklin

    Mr. Cooklin joined Nord Anglia Education in January 2014 from Edron Academy, the leading British International School in Mexico. Prior to joining Edron, he led Stonelaw High School in the UK, where he built a culture of academic excellence at the school as well as creating a strong sense of community pride amongst his students and teaching staff. 

    As a former president of the Head Teachers’ Association of Scotland and the inaugural president of School Leaders Scotland, Mr Cooklin has had extensive involvement in educational developments at all levels. Internationally, he was a council member for the International Confederation of Principals and has been an active participant at the Latin American Heads’ Conferences and International Baccalaureate conferences. He has also taken a leading role in a range of teacher training and mentoring programmes at a local and international level.

    Mr. D. Sheehan

    David Sheehan is Head of Pastoral Care at Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong. In addition to a Masters degree in Counselling, he has post graduate qualifications in Inclusion/Learner Support and Psychology. David has extensive experience, both nationally and internationally, of providing social, emotional and behavioural support to ensure every child in his care can thrives academically.

     

    David has 20 years’ experience in education. During this time, he has had a variety of curriculum, pastoral and leadership roles. In addition to the warm, nurturing environment that he is dedicated to developing, David believes that it is vital to create rigorous pastoral systems and procedures. The holistic pastoral system he has created at Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong has been identified as a feature of good practice, and David is keen to share this excellent practice with other schools.

    Mr T. Ferguson

    Since graduating in 1996 with a BA (Hons) in Marketing, Mr Ferguson worked in marketing, hospitality management and IT before embarking on a career as a teacher.  After teaching and managing in EAL schools, he graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGDE) in Primary Education from the Moray House Institute of Education at the University of Edinburgh. Before joining The British School of Beijing in 2010, Mr. Ferguson taught in Scotland, and previously in Egypt, Poland and various locations in China.
