Staff Profile: Miss C. Bovingdon

Miss C. Bovingdon

Drama Teacher

Miss Bovingdon has a BA (Hons) in Drama from the University of Wales, a Graduate Diploma in Acting from the University of Central England and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Drama from the University of London.

After a rewarding career as a professional actor and following a year of teaching practice in comprehensive secondary schools, I took up a position as Head of Drama at Garden House Preparatory School in Chelsea where I devised and delivered the drama curriculum for six happy years.

I love teaching drama because the subject has the power to unlock so much potential in students. It is always inspiring to see pupils gain confidence and become more imaginative, independent learners through the activities of their lessons.

Outside school, I am a very sociable person with a love of music, travel and all things new. I enjoy running and have run two full marathons for charity (albeit slowly). I also like the theatre (predictably) and most of all, Swing Dancing.
