Mr. Milligan began his teaching career in the North of England, teaching English at KS3, 4 and 5 as well as holding responsibility for the Media Studies department at King James' School, Knaresborough. From there, he moved to London, where he gained experience as Deputy Curriculum Leader of English, which ensured he was able to influence the curriculum with his choice of wonderful books from around the world. He has also worked as a House Leader at Haileybury Almaty, Kazakhstan, gaining valuable international schools experience which he believes will serve him well in his new role as KS4 Co-ordinator at NAIS Hong Kong.
In my previous post, with 14 years of experience behind me, I held a leadership position in the Pastoral Team at Isleworth and Syon School in West London, which was both a highly demanding and highly rewarding role. My passion lies in providing an outstanding, personalised education for all, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to flourish. To this end, I have recently completed a Masters in 'Education: Leading Innovation and Change' with St. Mary's University, London, and have been inspired to challenge myself and my students to think about learning differently, recognising that there are a variety of ways to reach extraordinary outcomes.
I am a passionate fan of film and football, though, naturally, not at the same time.
