Ms. F. Ryder

Head of Additional Support Needs

Having completed an Honours degree and a PGCE at De Montfort University in UK, Ms Ryder has successfully taught internationally (in Europe, Africa and Middle East) as well as the UK for nearly 25 years.

She has led English and literacy programmes across primary and secondary schools worldwide, and thus developed her interest in Additional Support Needs. She has held several leadership roles including deputy head and SENCo (Special Education Needs Co-ordinater) in a variety of educational settings.

Having had experience working with children in several countries from many different nationalities and languages, Ms Ryder believes using a variety of communication strategies is key to her teaching style. She has a holistic approach to education and an extensive interest in the neuro-science behind learning.

In her spare time, Ms Ryder loves exploring new countries, learning to play the djembe drum and goes sea kayaking.
