BIS Houston Community Blood Drive!  There are hundreds of people in Houston that are suffering from diseases and illnesses that need immediate help. 1 in 7 hospitalised patients will need blood. If you take part in this drive, you are potentially saving lives. Year 12 Cerys needs our support!

My name is Cerys. I am in Year 12 student and I would like to organise a blood drive at school. This is a great opportunity for us to give back to society and help sustain life. 
There are hundreds of people in Houston that are suffering from diseases and illnesses that need immediate help. 1 in 7 hospitalised patients will need blood. If you take part in this drive, you are potentially saving lives. 
For this drive to be possible we need at least 30 participants. The eligibility requirements from the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Centre state that participants must be above the age of 16, and 16 year-olds can also participate with parental consent. 
The blood drive will take place on one day during the first week of November. You would be able to schedule an appointment during the relevant time.
Anyone that is willing to donate will be sent a survey, containing questions that are part of the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Centre eligibility requirements.
