With a background in education, special education, and leadership, I have taught everything from Early Years to University, along with everything in between. I have been involved with educational institutions for over 30 years and I love being in the classroom, writing curriculum, and developing leaders of all ages. I have been Head of Primary at the last three schools we have worked with, during which time I have be instrumental in designing EAL programmes and curriculum. I have also been teaching EAL both to individual learners and to groups of learners.
My husband and I both have been part of the Nord Anglia Education family while working at the British International School of Budapest and now here at the British International School of Houston. I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) workshop leader, a site visit validator for both the Council of International Schools and for the International Baccalaureate, and I am a certified workshop leader for Concept Based Learning.
Overall, I am a life-long learner, an inquirer, an avid reader, a risk-taker, a passionate international educator, and an amateur photographer. I love to be active in the outdoors, exploring new places, and spending time with my family. I have first-hand experience as a third culture child and as an English as an Additional Language learner, which helps me to empathize and design curriculum to meet the individual needs of our learners.

BISH is a wonderfully unique place to work because everything revolves around establishing a sense of community. For instance, consider the neighbourhoods, the BOMA, the Agora, and the collaborations occurring at all levels. Throughout the school all learners are encouraged to be open-minded, respectful, inquirers, and caring. Our community is warm, welcoming, and inclusive thus providing everyone a sense of belonging. We feel very grateful to be a part of such a phenomenal school community and have felt very welcomed and enveloped.
