Assistant to The Secretary General

Matias Cattani is a sophomore at The Village School. He was born in Ecuador and lived there for 4 years before moving to the Middle East. He lived in Abu Dhabi for 5 years, then moved to Doha for 1 year. Afterwards, he moved to Houston, and came to the Village School in fourth grade. He first started participating in MUN in 9th grade, and soon found it to be one of his passions. He was unaware that MUN would be an activity that he enjoyed and would pursue in the future. He was given the opportunity to attend an international conference in his first year, which, along with with the amazing MUN team at The Village School, allowed his passion for MUN to grow. One of his favorite parts of MUN is the idea of working with other people to propose reasonable and plausible solutions to current day problems. This year in MUN, he is the Assistant to the Secretary General. In addition to MUN, Matias enjoys participating in extracurricular activities such as cross country, soccer, and track and field. He plans to focus on a science related subject for his future career, but still finds MUN to be one of my favorite activities. He can’t wait for the conference we will be hosting this year, and is looking forward to working with our current team to succeed in upcoming conferences.
