Grace G.

Grace G.

Future Olympian

Breakfast at 7 am, class by 8 am, and practice for the third time this week from 4 pm to 7 pm. She runs through her busy schedule in her head as she packs her bag for the day ahead, double checking that she has her books, skates, and clothes all carefully tucked away. It’ll be a long day but worth it when she competes in the 2022 Olympics and opens her own gym soon after.

Grace G. is in her third year at The Village School. She has also spent time in Qatar and Malaysia. When she returned to Village, she was able to reconnect with her friends from abroad.

Grace’s favorite subject is science because she loves lab work and dissecting things. However, Grace’s biggest passion is figure skating, which she has been doing for eight years. Her goal is to one day combine her passion for figure skating and business by opening her own gym and training facility for other young skaters.

At The Village School, we encourage our students to be entrepreneurial forward-thinkers. Our entrepreneurship diploma program develops the skills they need to run a company, develop a business plan, and understand marketing concepts, financial literacy and negotiations. We encourage them to pursue their intellectual curiosity and passion to see where it might lead them. In Grace’s case, she plans to do so with a gym. In her words, “If you work hard, you can achieve anything.”
