Lena Villavicencio

Lena is a native French speaker.  She comes to The Village School with 15 years’ experience teaching including 10 years the Alliance Française de Houston.  Lena  Villavicencio joined the Elementary division in 2015. 

 

Lena joined the Elementary division in 2015 to create and implement the French language program and curricula for all grade levels.

Lena Villavicencio, a native French speaker is no stranger to teaching French in a full immersion setting. She comes with 15 years’ experience teaching including 10 years the Alliance Française de Houston, a recognized organization with over 1,000 locations around the World.

In addition to creating the French curriculum at both the Village school and the French Alliance, she uses culturally based projects as an important assimilation tool to help students learn.  Working with diverse cultures in an international environment allows her to tailor her teaching methods to reach the class as a whole, as well as students individually.
