Martin Dimitrov

Asst. Director of Fine Arts

Martin Dimitrov is the Asst. Director of Fine Arts and this is his 8th year at Village. His focus is on student learning and development, understanding and enjoyment of music. He teaches Orchestra and manages several administrative duties such as after school music programs and private lessons. 

A native of Bulgaria, Martin holds a Masters in Violin Performance degree from Rice University and a B.M. from LSU. As a performer, he holds numerous 1st prizes from National and Festival competitions and has subbed with the Houston Symphony and Houston Ballet. Mr. Dimitrov is the winner of Monroe Symphony Concerto competition in 2004.
Currently, Mr. Dimitrov is finishing his term as the TPSMEA VP for the Orchestra Division. A passionate and result driven educator, Mr. D has helped and inspired many students to be successful at their passion and pursue a music major or music studies at Northwestern U., Oberlin, and U.T.  

Mr. Dimitrov has two children at Village and he is an avid animal lover, home repair handyman and technology enthusiat.
