Amanda has been teaching internationally for four years at The British School of Guangzhou, China. Additionally Amanda spent two years prior to this as a Teaching Assistant and also carrying out the role as Charity and Community Service Coordinator.
In the last year Amanda has been carrying out leadership roles, including Student Welfare Leader and Year 4 Leader. For Amanda, her experience ranges from Reception to Year 4 with a large part of her time being spent in Year 3.
Prior to working as a Teacher, Amanda worked with a crime reduction charity managing a mental health housing project and volunteered with an NGO. Reading is one of Amanda’s passions which lends itself well to classroom practices.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys spending time with her dog, Dexie, and exploring new places with her husband. Exercising also features greatly in her spare time as well as her keenness to continue learning Chinese. Prior to qualifying as a teacher Amanda completed her LLB in Law and Criminology and an MA in Globalising Justice.
