Ms Charlene Sackley

PE Teacher

Having completed her PGCE in Physical Education (Secondary) at Durham University, Charlene got her first teaching position in her home town of Hartlepool.

Having worked there for six years progressing to Head of Girls PE, she decided to travel overseas to get experience in teaching abroad, across the whole school and to lead the first (I)GCSE PE course as Curriculum leader in a school in Dubai. During this time Charlene travelled to the Far East which led her to Asia and her next teaching position as Whole School PE teacher at Dulwich College Seoul, South Korea.

Charlene has a keen interest in promoting and leading a variety of sports, she is a keen netballer and has led a number of teams. After spending two years at DCSL she headed back to Dubai to be Head of Girls’ Sport at Jumeirah Primary school.

Charlene stepped off the International teaching circuit to have a family, arriving back in the UK this time to West Yorkshire where she worked briefly in a Secondary Academy school in Bradford. Charlene is joining us with her family and has two young children, one of them joining the Nursery at BSKL.
