Head of EAL & English Teacher
This academic year sees the start of Ciára's tenth year of teaching English to all secondary key stages. Since qualifying for her PGCE at Roehampton University, she has taught across a variety of schools in London where she has very much used the city as her best teaching resource; taking students on frequent trips to Shakespeare's Globe theatre, galleries, museums and around other notable landmarks. Having previously spent some time living in New Zealand, she is very much looking forward to the challenge of teaching on yet another new continent and is excited about the travelling opportunities that living in Kuala Lumpur will provide for her.
Head of Year 8 & English Teacher
Katie worked as a Media and English teacher for 8 years in an Ofsted Outstanding Secondary school in Wiltshire; teaching all years as well as A Level Media Studies and Literature. She was also in charge of whole school transition from KS2-KS3, a role which she thoroughly enjoyed.
