Head of Year 9 & Maths Teacher

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics (Nottingham University); PGCE (Kingston University)

After receiving my qualification, I taught for four years at Ranelagh School in Bracknell, England. During this time I taught key stages 3-5 and was involved in the mentoring and training of PGCE Mathematics students. In 2013 I moved to Sri KDU International School in Kuala Lumpur, where I taught key stages 3-5, was the school CAS Coordinator and in my final year at Sri KDU I was also Head of Year 11. I have been at BSKL since 2017.

Hobbies: I enjoy keeping fit, rock climbing, hiking, travelling and trying new restaurants Origins and family: From England, married here in Malaysia and now have a 9 month old baby girl.

Student happiness is about providing a supportive and stimulating environment where students feel safe to take risks, to express themselves and have opportunities to develop and grow, both inside and outside of the classroom.
