Matt Gilberthorpe

Mr Matt Gilberthorpe

Head of Secondary School and (I)GCSE Economics Teacher

Mr Gilberthorpe joined BSY as the Head of Secondary in August 2017. He has been a senior leader in schools since 2010, working as an Assistant Principal Curriculum and Deputy Head of School in Malaysia and Dubai.

About

Mr Gilberthorpe joined BSY as the Head of Secondary in August 2017 and will be going into his second academic year as Head of the Secondary School. He has been a senior leader in schools since 2010 working an Assistant Principal Curriculum and Deputy Head of School in Malaysia and Dubai.

Matt is particularly interested in educational research and how it can improve the effectiveness of teachers and schools. Matt is extremely excited about BSY’s move to a brand new campus and the introduction of the school’s (I)GCSE programme.
